Manifest Your Heart's Desire

Abstract art is a beautiful way to express oneself without the fears of not being a 'good enough' artist. The task? Draw your heart without drawing a heart shape.

4

Presence Process

This class uses art to dive into the sensations that we may not always notice so we can experience life more fully. Great for developing inner awareness.

Trap Your Demons

The Process

  • We begin with a guided meditation to develop awareness of our emotional bodies and any discomfort we may be experiencing.
  • Then we gently lean into the discomfort and use basic art materials to 'trap' the demons on the page by drawing it out.
  • After we discuss how every uncomfortable feeling is a need, want, longing, or desire that's not being fully met and give love to the monster that it truly needs.
  • Note: any uncomfortable feelings we experience have are a wisdom gem hiding within the discomfort. As your art tour guide, I’ll be helping you uncover your own understanding and wisdom.
  • We will use a tool called the Love Smart Cards. These help us identify what we need to move towards embodied bliss.
  • Lastly, we will have space to share our experiences and have the opportunity to be witnessed.

Get ready for a new, and beautiful experience.

This class is best for identifying and releasing trapped emotions to feel more joy and bliss! A fantastic addition to groups already focused on healing and energy work - it requires participants to be a little more vulnerable, but that's where the magic lies.

Manifesting Your Heart's Desire

A great icebreaking class or team building event. Participants have the space to move to their own edge of vulnerability and can speak to the heart of their current state with playful curiosity.

Here is a TedTalk style video explaining why creativity of all types is needed in our soulful evolution and also shares a portion of the Heart's Desire practice.

The Process

  • We begin by setting a container of playful curiosity and loving acceptance. The task: make a piece of paper as ugly as possible. Then it's placed into the middle for a brief discussion.
  • Next, we draw our hearts without drawing a heart shape (does our heart space feel big or small; round or square; jagged or smooth? etc)
  • After we pair up and share our current heart state and anything unexpected about our drawings.
  • We use a brief meditation to honor our current heart state and also articulate how to move toward our desired state.
  • Lastly, we draw out the fullest, most vibrant version of our heart's desire and write down 1-2 simple steps on how to be in that state Right. Now.

Free from restriction, art gives us a space to create our own realities without borders.

Full Body Painting

A personal favourite. Great for beginners and all ages. Take the time to play and dive into the wisdom and joy of the body... you may be surprised at what you find!

The Process

  • We begin with a brief discussion of how art can be used with it's full potency. Also discussed are the three C's of care, consent, confidentiality.
  • Then we take a moment to practice with the art supplies and trace the outline of our bodies onto either life sized or 9x12 paper.
  • After a meditation practice to connect to our physical and emotional bodies, we begin painting and expressing via art.
  • There is music playing at this time but minimal conversation as it can take us away from our inner landscape.
  • After complete, we unlock the mystery of abstract art and learn how to read what our paintings may be telling us.
  • Finally, we get into groups of four and share our experience painting.

Engaging in creativity itself changes who we are.

Meaning that creativity itself shapes the artist, just as much as the artist shapes the art.

The large scale paper can be really large to carry. An option for an extra dollar per person is to take an instax polaroid photo with the art to save as a souvenir.

Presence Process

The Process

  • First we sit and paint anything sticky or stressful out. Take the liberty to make a mess of the page!
  • Then we bring awareness to our feet and begin an active meditation of drawing what we feel.
  • Between layers of paint (while the paint is drying) there is the chance to reconnect inwards or write any stories that come to mind with the intention of merging the verbal and non-verbal part of our brains together.
  • When you think there’s no more you can be aware of, a whole new inner world unfolds. Just as there is infinite space outwards, there is infinite space inwards.
  • After we stand and move our bodies and see if our awareness of our wholeness has increased.

A simple, easy way to begin developing awareness in the body or a meditation practice. Especially good for artists because we tend to be more ethereal than planted with our feet on the ground.

Magic Multiplier

Here's a fun class to get into 'possibility thinking' coupled with tangible, real-world action steps.

The best part? It's designed to be in alignment with our higher selves. A potent combination for manifestation and magic.

I love doing small versions of this class in my journal in the mornings. It only takes minutes to create a small image that can really fast track my day and emotional state!

The Process

  • We begin by collectively brainstorming about our future lives.
  • Then, we draw our goals out representationally - like a vision board (stick figures work great here).
  • After we use the Love Smart Cards to write down the feelings of our goals being met - and even wildly surpassed!
  • Next we draw the feelings we chose from the love smart cards abstractly. It helps us create a visual symbol of how we could feel.
  • Then, we check again with our initial goals. Do they still fit with our heart's desire and our feeling state?
  • Finally, we share in groups of 3 or 4 our desired emotional state, tangible outcome/goal and 1-3 steps we could take to get there. Here is where the artist may ask for input on how they can reach their goals.
